Today was a banner day! We found our first "new" egg from one of the new laying hens. We should be on track for starting to sell eggs in the middle of August. We also moved our meat chicks outside and they are now happily munching clover in the new chicken-mobile which will keep them safe from predators and move around the farm to fresh grass every few days. These chickens will start putting on weight quickly and should be ready by mid- September.

Well, Summer Session is almost half over and we've been having a blast! We've been riding horses, checking the chicken coop for signs of new eggs, exploring the brook and tie dying t-shirts! Our session IV (July 20-24) is sold out, but we have two sessions after that still have slots available. There's no better way to spend your summer than enjoying and discovering animals and nature. |
